Razed in Black

The industrial/goth rock outfit Razed in Dark will be the only such music group to hail from Hawaii (the city of Ewa Seaside, to be exact). Made up of associates Romell Regulacion (electric guitar), Chris Nelson (vocals, bass, and synths), and Raj Kapololu (drums), the trio attracts inspiration from the most common suspects, including Nine Inches Fingernails, Sister Machine Weapon, and Chemlab. Originally produced within the middle-’90s, Razed in Dark has issued many full-length recordings (all in the Cleopatra label): 1996’s Shrieks, Laments and Anguished Cries, 1997’s Overflow, 1999’s Sacrificed, and 2003’s Broken; in addition to the 2001 EP Oh My Goth, which highlighted remixes of monitors by DJ Rib, DJ Bad, and Matthew Grim.
