Raymond Raspberry

b. 1930, USA, d. 20 Oct 1995, LA, California, USA. After functioning being a pianist with some of the most prominent gospel superstars, including Mahalia Jackson, Wynona Carr as well as the Clara Ward Performers, in 1954 Raspberry produced his very own group, the Raspberry Performers. Among the initial all-male gospel choirs, they often times documented in Spanish. They ultimately disbanded in 1966 when Raspberry transferred to NY, where he proved helpful being a songwriter. His compositions consist of staples from the gospel repertoire including ‘I’ll Allow Nothing Split Me IN THE Appreciate Of God’, ‘Contact Somebody’s Lifestyle’ and ‘I DESIRE TO BE SIMILAR TO Jesus’. In 1971 he transferred to LA where he founded a fresh Raspberry Performers with an all-female fall into line. He passed away in 1995 while getting dialysis treatment.
