Ray Parker, Jr. produced Raydio in 1977, with vocalists Arnell Carmichael and Jerry Knight. Knight was the business lead singer within the group’s 1st big strike, “Jack port and Jill,” in 1978. Additional group members had been Larry Tolbert, Darren Carmichael, and Charles Fearing. He managed the strap until 1981, although they truly became Ray Parker, Jr. & Raydio in 1980. The group acquired another TOP R&B and pop strike with “You Can’t Transformation That” in 1979, and “Two Places at exactly the same time” reached amount six R&B in 1980. They topped the R&B graphs in 1981 with “A FEMALE Needs Like (LIKE EVERYONE ELSE Perform),” which also peaked at number 4 pop. Almost all their music and LPs had been documented for Arista.
