Reaching number 3 for the pop graphs in 1964 with perhaps one of the most successful easy hearing singles from the ’60s, “Appreciate Me with ALL OF YOUR Heart (Cuando Caliente el Sol),” the Ray Charles Singers produced many genteel albums of choral disposition music through the entire ’50s and ’60s. Although these were led by a guy called Ray Charles, this group got no connection whatsoever to Ray Charles the well-known spirit singer, and no connection whatsoever to spirit music. The coincidence of two such different performers writing the same name led the Ray Charles from the Ray Charles Performers, actually, to costs himself as “The Various other Ray Charles” when he was presented with a Television credit. This Ray Charles was created Charles Raymond Offenberg on Sept 13, 1918 in Chicago. Employed in radio, Broadway, and in regional rings, he got his main break when he arrived employment as an arranger for Perry Como’s radio support group in the past due ’40s, remaining for the reason that placement when Como got a Television program.
