Randy Crawford

Perhaps one of the most readily identifiable voices of any modern feminine vocalist, Randy Crawford’s preliminary recognition originated from her fiery vocal on “Road Lifestyle,” a 1979 melody matching her using the Crusaders which was included on the soundtrack for Burt Reynolds’ film Sharky’s Machine. Crawford was created in Macon, Georgia, and was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio; she proved helpful in night clubs as a teenager, associated with her dad. Crawford was business lead vocalist in an organization that included bassist Bootsy Collins before touring as George Benson’s starting action in 1972. Cannonball Adderley asked her to sing on his LP Big Guy. Crawford documented “DO NOT GET Captured in Love’s Triangle,” a melody made by Johnny Bristol, throughout a short stick to the label. She shortly transferred to Warner Bros., and after “Road Life,” documented and toured European countries using the Crusaders. Crawford was tabbed Many Outstanding Performer on the 1980 Tokyo Music Celebration. She continued to be with Warner Bros. with the ’80s and early ’90s, where time she created a strong pursuing in European countries and Britain. In the brand new millennium, Crawford provides remained quite energetic, frequently re-teaming with Crusaders keyboardist Joe Test for such albums as 2006’s Sense Great, 2008’s No Regrets, and 2012’s concert record Live.
