Ramón Barce

Barce earned a Ph.D. for his research on the conservatory as well as the college or university in Madrid. Inspired by Messiaen and Ligeti, Barce was a self-taught composer who proved helpful within an expressionist atonal design. His afterwards compositions consist of some serial function, and in 1967 he created his very own harmonic program of a “tranquility of amounts” predicated on polar records. He was a founder of the brand new GROUP in Madrid in 1958 and of the Zaj group to use it music in 1964. He also started the journal Sonda in 1967 and arranged concerts of songs beneath the same name. In 1971 he became the music critic for Madrid’s paper Ya.
