A melodically charged, hard-hitting retro-metal device from Gothenberg, Sweden, Memory was shaped in 1999 by guitarist Harry Granroth, who was simply looking to develop a music group that evoked the old-school sonic mythos of standard hard rock clothes like Iced Globe, Judas Priest, Mercyful Destiny, and Iron Maiden. Boasting a primary lineup which includes vocalist Oscar Carlquist, drummer Morgan Pettersson, bassist Tobias Petterson, and guitarist Martin Jonsson, Memory issued an unbiased EP known as Sudden Influence in 2003. The hype started in earnest in 2005 using the release of the debut studio room long-player Forced Entry, which garnered exceptional testimonials and helped the band property some choice gigs with famous brands Gamma Ray and Dark Tranquillity. 2009 noticed the release of the sophomore work, the AFM-issued Lightbringer, and in 2011 the group inked a cope with Steel Blade, who go on release a the band’s third and 4th full-lengths Loss of life and Svbversvm in 2012 and 2015, respectively.
