Ralph White

A founding person in the seminal Austin bluegrass/punk outfit Poor Livers, Ralph Light has been a keen pupil of music for many years. In the past due ’70s, he journeyed to Ireland to understand fiddle technique. He backed himself by busking on road corners and functioning odd jobs. Light soon produced a home bottom in Austin, TX, where he fulfilled fellow misfit Danny Barnes in the burgeoning folk picture playing cajun music, bluegrass, and other conventional designs. Along with bassist/tubist Tag Rubin, they produced the Poor Livers in 1990. The three fused bluegrass using the ambitious attitude of punk, excitedly fusing styles together and accumulating a little but devoted pursuing. White documented four albums using the Poor Livers between 1992 and 1997: Delusions of Banjer (1992), Dirt in the Bible (1994), Horses in the Mines (1994), and Hogs on the road (1997). In 1996, Light left the music group. In 1999, he had taken an epic bicycle trip across Africa, equipped with a banjo. He used many local music artists, a lot of whom appreciated playing aged American folk tunes that had came into their repertoire via brought in information in the 1930s.
