Ralph Sharon

Ralph Sharon made his professional debut with Ted Heath in 1946, after that shifted to Frank Weir’s orchestra before leading his very own sextet. He transferred to the U.S. in 1953, where he originally proved helpful as an accompanist to Chris Connor. In 1957, he became musical movie director and pianist for Tony Bennett. He obtained American citizenship in 1958. In 1965, he and Bennett split, but they returned jointly in 1979 and performed together in the next years. Sharon also led several groups and produced many recordings being a head. He passed away in March 2015 at his house in Boulder, Colorado at age 91.
