Raina Kabaivanska

Renowned on her behalf interpretations from the roles of Tosca, Manon, Francesca da Rimini, and Madame Butterfly, this internationally well-known soprano has gained the nickname “the Heroine of Melodrama.” Kabaivanska achieved her advanced vocal and piano research on the Bulgarian Condition Conservatory in Sofia. In 1958, she transferred to Italy and additional created her technique with Zita Fumagalli. She produced her debut on the Sofia Country wide Opera in 1957 in the function of Tatyana in Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin. But Kabaivanska’s most significant debut is at the function of Agnese in Bellini’s Beatrice di Tenda at Milan’s La Scala in 1961. In 1974, Bulgarian Tv devoted a film to her entitled THE TIMES OF YEAR of Raina Kabaivanska.
