Rafael Angel Aparicio

Throughout a year-long residency on the University of Washington in 1970, Angel Rafael Aparicio released the heavily percussive Llanera harp tradition of Venezuela to audiences in america. Regarding his young sibling Fuchito, who trained and performed cuatro (four-stringed electric guitar) and maracas, Aparicio performed many concerts and made an appearance on the annual conference from the Culture of Ethnomusicology on the College or university of Washington as well as the Pacific Northwest conference from the harpists association. Accompanied by another sibling, Euclides, Aparicio came back for another year-long stint in the University or college of Washington in 1997. Aparicio documented several music while in Washington. They were collected around the 1997 recording Recordando A Venezuela. While a lot of the recording features instrumental variations of folkloric tunes, several original pieces, like the title-track made up by Fuchito, had been included.
