Racecar

Originally going beneath the name of Paint, the lineup of Brian Gray (bass), Christopher Paul (guitar), Brian Mclaughlin (drums), Werner Gray (guitar), and Jina Yi (vocals) ultimately changed it to Racecar after finding a cease and desist order in 1995 from a fresh York band beneath the same name. Despite their moniker modification, their simple framework of indie pop continued to be as Queenie Information released their 1995 debut record Girlish. Following Carpool EP that same season, Racecar continuing to donate to several compilation albums between 1997 and 1998.
