R.W. Grace

Basically the solo project of Australian singer/songwriter Grace Woodroofe, R.W. Elegance makes atmospheric, minimalist folk and electronica. A indigenous of Perth, Woodroofe 1st found the public’s interest in 2008 after many songs she joined in to the Triple J radio competition Unearthed captured the hearing of LA artwork collective the People, who brought her to California to build up her audio alongside such luminaries as American Music Club’s Tag Eitzel, bassist/maker Justin Meldal-Johnsen, as well as others. Subsequently, in 2012, Woodroofe shipped her moody, blues and folk-infused debut recording, Always Want, offering creation from guitarist Ben Harper. In 2014, Woodroofe came back beneath the name R.W. Elegance with the solitary “Pluto.” Offering production via Television around the Radio’s Dave Sitek, “Pluto” exposed a far more arch, advanced sound and much electronic pop path.
