R.S. Rankin

b. 22 Feb 1933, Royse Town, Tx, USA. Rankin’s uncle was T-Bone Walker, who urged the youngster to try out blues guitar and took him on the highway like a valet in the past due 40s. He worked well and documented with Walker through the 50s, and was dubbed ‘T-Bone’ Walker Jnr. around 1955, and it had been under this name that he documented for the Midnite label in 1962. He continues to be less energetic on the music picture since the middle-60s but do surface to try out in the T-Bone Walker Memorial Concert in LA, California, in-may 1975, when Blues Unlimited reported that ‘he do a fantastic work on his uncle’s classics’.
