Quickie

The music of Seattle-based pop-punk trio Quickie (singer/bassist Louis Torres, guitarist Joe Wolf, and drummer Ric Hare) recalls such past trash rockers as Mötley Crüe as well as the Dead Boys, amongst others. Torres didn’t grab a acoustic guitar until ninth quality when his dad insisted he achieve this and after getting a Cheap Technique concert. Ultimately, Torres created Quickie together with his two comrades, producing a documenting contract using the Music Blitz label, and their 2000 debut disk, Shedding the Why. Many of the album’s tunes cropped up somewhere else, including the sports activities videos Board Crazy, Core Tradition, and Intense 16, along with the Television shows Felicity and American Large, the film (and its own following soundtrack) Our Lip area Are Sealed, as well as the compilation Wayne Kramer Presents Beyond Cyberpunk. Torres amounts up Quickie’s strategy perfectly using the quotation, “We’re simply three sloppy men having a great time.”
