Quatuor Diotima

Quatuor Diotima is a France string quartet that specializes in modernist music. Produced by graduates from the Paris Conservatoire as well as the Lyon Conservatoire, the group called itself after a structure by Luigi Nono, Fragmente – Stille, an Diotima. The ensemble provides won several worldwide competitions, and provides toured america, Asia, Australia, and SOUTH USA. Quatuor Diotima spent some time working with such main composers as Pierre Boulez, Helmut Lachenmann, and Brian Ferneyhough, and commissioned brand-new functions from Gérard Pesson, Alberto Posadas, Oscar Bianchi, Adam Dillon, and Miroslav Srnka. Quatuor Diotima provides documented for NEOS, Kairos, Alpha Productions, ECM, and Naïve.
