Purity Ring

The chilly electro-pop project of Corin Roddick and Megan James, Purity Ring began when both were in Canadian indie rock act Gobble Gobble (which afterwards became Born Gold). As the music group was on tour, Roddick and Adam grew increasingly motivated by the noises of modern R&B and wished to make music reflecting that. Their initial melody, “Ungirthed,” found its way to January 2011 to vital acclaim, and Purity Band eventually agreed upon with 4AD Information. Shrines, the duo’s debut record, premiered in July 2012. The next year, Purity Band collaborated with Danny Dark brown on the monitor “25 Dollars.” After touring to get Shrines, Roddick and Adam began making songs, this time functioning together personally in Edmonton rather than collaborating online because they had on the debut. The outcomes had been 2015’s Another Eternity, a powerful, streamlined group of songs featuring even more disclosing lyrics from Adam and Roddick’s hip-hop-inspired creation.
