The Portland duo Pure Bathing Tradition play music that appears like lo-fi and warped Cocteau Twins album tracks, filtered through late-night R&B and chillwave remixes of Fleetwood Mac pc. The duo of Sarah Versprille (vocals, keyboards) and Daniel Hindman (guitars, bass, and secrets) first fulfilled at university in NJ in the past due ’90s, finished up dating ten years later, and became a member of the indie folk music group Vetiver. They created their own music group almost unintentionally while fooling around with loops, after that got serious, relocated to Portland from Brooklyn, and released a self-titled four-song EP for Father-Daughter Information in 2012.
