Pur

Pur is a German pop music group that rose to chart-topping achievement in the mid-’90s and remained popular for quite some time thereafter, topping the albums graph and scoring TOP strike singles with remarkable regularity. Founded in 1975 in Bietigheim-Bissingen, Germany, not really definately not Stuttgart, the music group is made up of Hartmut Engler (vocals), Rudi Buttas (acoustic guitar), Joe Crawford (bass), Roland Bless (drums), and Ingo Riedl (keyboards). Originally called “Crusade” and “Opus”, the music group was founded by Engler, Bless, and Riedl; Crawford became a member of in 1979 and Buttas in 1980. In 1985 they transformed their name from “Opus” to Pur after an Austrian music group using the same name obtained a hit within the German graphs. The band experienced currently released two albums as “Opus”, the full-length debut Opus 1 (1983) as well as the follow-up work, Vorsicht Zerbrechlich (1985). After changing its name, the music group released the eponymous recording, Pur, in 1987. You start with the greatest-hits compilation, Strikes Pur: 20 Jahre Eine Music group (2001), a lot of the band’s back again catalog was reissued in some remastered albums with reward materials.
