Elevated in New York’s Harlem section, Pucho fell deeply in love with jazz and R&B as a kid and created a enthusiasm for salsa and Afro-Cuban music after exposure towards the music of Tito Puente and Dominican pianist Frank Damiron when he was 12 and 13.
