Psychic Friend is normally a side project for Imperial Teenager guitarist/vocalist Can Schwartz. After having produced a dance-pop record beneath the name Hey Willpower in cooperation with Tussle’s Tomo Yasuda in 2008, Schwartz following began dealing with multi-instrumentalist Bo Boddie on the task that was motivated by ’70s vocalist/songwriters like Todd Rundgren and Carole Ruler, and structured around Schwartz’s piano playing. Psychic Friend performed their first present at San Francisco’s Noisepop Fest in Feb of 2012. They performed more shows through the year and in addition began focus on an record (by using drummers Tripp Beam and Hole’s Patty Schemel.) Preceded with the one “Once a Servant,” My Stones Are Dreams premiered by Dangerbird Information in early 2013.
