In a year of political upheaval in america, Prophets of Rage united people of Rage Against the device, Public Foe, and Cypress Hill to make a voice for the frustrated and discontent. Shaped in early 2016 by Trend guitarist Tom Morello, bassist Tim Commerford, and drummer Brad Wilk, Open public Enemy’s main guy Chuck D and turntablist DJ Lord, and Cypress Hill rapper B Genuine, Prophets of Trend mixed the anti-establishment pedigree from the three organizations just like a socially mindful Voltron, using the propulsive power and urgency of Trend, the fearlessness of Open public Enemy, as well as the menace of Cypress Hill.
