Professor Murder

NEW YORK based Jesse Cohen (keyboards, examples, artificial drums), Andy Craven (drums), Michael Bell-Smith (vocals, percussion, bass, secrets), and Tony Plunkett (bass) formed in 2004 as Teacher Murder. The quartet mixes synthesizers and percussion-based workout routines in a way inspired with the post-punk rings from the past due ’70s and early ’80s, while adding a dosage of upbeat, cheerful melodies once and for all measure. The music group performed thoroughly and almost solely in NYC for quite some time, eventually earning starting slot machine games for !!! and Radio 4. Their debut EP Teacher Murder Trips the Subway premiered over the Kanine imprint in July of 2006.
