Princess Century

Princess Century may be the single alias of Maya Postepski, a Toronto-based synth pop musician who also co-founded the rings Austra and TR/ST. Her single work is even more experimental compared to the club-ready goth pop of her groupings, discovering shadowy darkwave, space disco, and interstellar atmosphere. She began launching Princess Century materials after departing TR/ST, debuting in 2013 using the vocal-driven Lossless LP in the U.K.’s Kennington Recordings. 2 yrs later, the task began releasing materials on Toronto’s Paper Handbag Records, also house to Austra and TR/ST. An EP entitled Lossy made an appearance in July of 2015, having a 22-minute dance monitor known as “Discoset” and generally having higher fidelity than her initial full-length. Her second record, Progress, implemented in September; much like the EP, the record was completely instrumental, and transferred between dark, melodic techno and polyrhythmic tests.
