Pride & Glory

This USA power trio was formed in 1991 by Zakk Wylde (b. Jeffrey Phillip Wiedlant, 14 January 1967, Bayonne, NJ, USA; electric guitar/vocals), Adam Lomenzo (b. 13 January 1959, Brooklyn, NEW YORK, NY, USA; bass/vocals), and Greg D’Angelo (b. 18 Dec 1963, Brooklyn, NEW YORK, NY, USA; drums), heading beneath the dubious name of Lynyrd Skynhead. D’Angelo was changed by Brian Tichy (b. 18 August 1968, Denville, NJ, USA) in 1994 whereupon the trio transformed its name to Satisfaction And Glory. Wylde got risen to popularity as Ozzy Osbourne’s guitarist, while Lomenzo got used the commercially effective heavy metal clothing Light Lion. The trio’s self-titled record garnered important plaudits because of its traditional virtues, though it steered nearer to the southern boogie of Lynyrd Skynyrd compared to the doom laden hard rock and roll sound of Dark Sabbath. Lomenzo still left after the music group’s 1994 tour, but Wylde eventually shelved Satisfaction And Glory to focus on various other tasks. He teamed up with Lomenzo once again on his 1996 single outing, Reserve Of Shadows. The initial line-up re-formed to get a one-off show on the Whiskey in Hollywood, California, in January 1998.
