Preston School of Industry

Following the demise of slacker rock and roll kings Pavement in later 2000, guitarist/songwriter Scott “Spiral Stairs” Kannberg immediately formed a fresh band, dubbed Preston College of Industry. Signing up for Kannberg are drummer Andrew Borger (Tom Waits, Moore Brothers) and bassist Jon Erickson (Moore Brothers). After Kannberg uncovered a demo filled with rejected and ignored music he’d penned for Pavement’s last documenting, Terror Twilight, the recently formed trio established upon getting the songs alive and documenting a debut. Agreed upon to his previous band’s label, Matador, Preston College of Sector released their inaugural record in August of 2001, entitled All This Noises Gas, chasing it up using a U.S. tour. Furthermore to his Preston College of Industry responsibilities, Kannberg also operates his own indie label, Amazing Grease Information, putting out information by famous brands Oranger, Carlos, Sunless Time, Cole Marquis, Aaron Nudelman, as well as the Moore Brothers.
