Preston Frank

A web link to the original zydeco sound of a time eliminated by, accordionist Preston Frank was most widely known in lots of circles as the daddy of nouveau zydeco star Keith Frank. Delivered in Oberlin, Louisiana in 1947, Frank and his group the Family members Zydeco Music group — also called the Soileau Playboys aswell as the Swallow Music group — honed their chops playing through the entire Eunice/Mamou area for several years; they didn’t record until 1981, writing the collection Zydeco Quantity 2 with Ambrose Sam. As time passes the group’s rates grew to add his kids Keith (accordion), Brad (drums) and Jennifer (bass); with the 1990s, the elder Frank begun to convenience into retirement, enabling Keith to steadily assume complete control of the music group.
