This psychedelic trance group was formed in London in 1993 by Tsuyoshi Suzuki and Nick Taylor (Snake Thing) who had met in Tokyo in the first 90s and recorded there as Blissed. In 1994 they released materials for the Inter 1 Information (Genesis and Indigo EP) and Dragonfly Information’ compilation Purchase Odonata Vol. 1, before putting your signature on with Suzuki’s fresh label Matsuri Productions. The next year Prana created several EPs for your label, including Scarab and Long term Space Vacationers (a cooperation between Suzuki as well as the Swedish group Athena), in addition to appearing on different compilations. Their debut recording Cyclone came early in 1996 where time Taylor got shifted to Australia and Suzuki got begun dealing with Andy Guthrie. Through the following year they had written and recorded several tunes which, as well as five remixes of paths from Cyclone by Snake Thing (Taylor), Tristan And Procedure, the Green Nuns FROM THE Trend, Chakra and Total Eclipse, shaped Prana’s second recording Geomantik (1997). Due to additional commitments, the set did not launch any new materials until ‘Kollage’ for the Matsuri compilation Forever Psychedelic in 1998. Probably one of the most imaginative psychedelic trance organizations around, Prana generate exciting large textures from unimaginable rips, squeaks and creaks combined with refined riffs more than a assorted basis of solid, cool grooves; notable good examples are ‘Boundless’ (1997) as well as the remix of ‘Alien House animals’ on Matsuri’s ALLOW IT Rip compilation (1997).
