(((Powerhouse Sound)))

Yet another task from boundary-pushing jazz tenor saxophonist Ken Vandermark, (((Powerhouse Audio))) were conceived by Vandermark in an effort to concentrate on performing music based round the bass acoustic guitar. To these ends, Vandermark combined up with bassists Nate McBride and Ingebrigt Håker Flaten. Also presented within the ensemble are guitarist Jeff Parker, drummers Paal Nilssen-Love and John Herndon, and digital musician Lasse Marhaug. The group released its debut recording, Oslo/Chicago: Breaks, on Atavistic in 2007.
