Porter Block

An XTC-inspired power pop duo that sounded something similar to a cross between Fountains of Wayne and Ben Folds Five, Porter Stop shaped in 2005 being a cooperation between Peter Stop and Caleb Sherman. THE BRAND NEW York natives had been both experienced music artists by enough time they began working together. Stop, for instance, got contributed music to different advertisements and movies, and got collaborated with performers like Dean & Britta (previously of Luna) and ADM (Lordz); Sherman, in the meantime, had set up himself being a manufacturer in Nashville and NY. Drawing on the collective songwriting and creation abilities, the duo released their initial full-length, Suburban Sprawl, on Engine Area Information in 2006.
