After his short-lived Mourning Widows task, Nuno Bettencourt formed the documenting entity People 1. Playing all of the equipment himself (as he previously done over the Schizophonic record), People 1 premiered in 2002 on General Japan. Attempting to support the record using a tour, he made People 1, the music group, with Steve Ferlazzo on keyboards, Joe Pessia on bass, and Kevin Figueiredo on drums. The music group toured Japan and Korea in 2003, and released the Periods from Area 4 EP in 2004. Another full-length is normally anticipated in early 2005.
