Poolside began in early 2011 while the recording task of LA music artists Filip Nikolic and Jeffrey Heaven. Nikolic was a Danish-born maker and DJ who spent a while as the bass participant in Junior Older before relocating to LA and Heaven lived in SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA playing out like a DJ so that as the frontman of hardcore music group the Calculators before also shifting to LA.
