Plateaus is a punk-flavored power pop quartet formed in NORTH PARK in the past due 2000s. The music group came collectively from a loosely linked scene of region musicians who have been all playing in additional clothes — drummer and audio engineer Jon Greene, vocalist/guitarist Kevin Gist, guitarist Elliot Moeller, and bassist Chris Rosi. The group quickly designed a sound knowledgeable from the grittier part of power pop, primarily rings like Redd Kross, Guided by Voices, and early improvements to the Soaring Nun Information roster. They selected their music group name as an abstraction from the film name Platoon, chosen when Gist was searching through Dvd disks and thought hook mispronunciation from the name would make a fitted moniker. The group performed locally for most months before liberating what will be a group of 7″ singles on underground punk brands Artwork Fag and Hozac in 2011. In 2011 in addition they toured seriously, and 2012 was spent planning a debut full-length, also slated for discharge on Artwork Fag records.
