Montreal-based indie rock trio Plant life and Animals shaped in 2004 throughout the abilities of Warren Spicer (guitar, vocals), Matthew Woodley (drums, percussion, vocals), and Nicolas Basque (guitar, bass, vocals). The band’s genre-jumping audio mixes rootsy, acoustic-heavy folk and nation with components of traditional and progressive rock and roll. Their self-titled debut premiered in 2005, accompanied by another EP, With/Avec, in 2007 and lastly a full-length record, Parc Avenue, in 2008, the last mentioned which was shortlisted for the 2008 Polaris Music Award and nominated for the 2009 Juno Prize. Plants and Pets released La La Property this year 2010, which also arrived over the Polaris Music Award shortlist. Arriving in 2012, the trick City Records-issued THE FINISH of That arrived its title monitor in the shutting credits from the 2013 film Consuming Buddies, and in 2016 the music group released its 4th studio room long-player, Waltzed in in the Rumbling, once again via Secret Town.
