Pixx

Upgrading the classic, ethereal appear of 4AD for the 2010s, Pixx proceeds the tradition of artists which range from the Cocteau Twins to Grimes. Given birth to Hannah Rodgers, the vocalist/songwriter comes from Chipstead, a city just beyond South London. Developing up, her skill was motivated and she went to The BRIT College, a carrying out arts university near her house. Taking motivation from Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, and Aphex Twin — and implementing her grandmother’s nickname on her behalf moniker — Pixx released her folktronica-tinged debut EP Fall In in August 2015. Her 2017 debut recording Age Anxiety (which required its name from W.H. Auden’s last poem) discovered Pixx relocating a darker electro-pop path inspired from the era’s turbulent occasions.
