Pixel

Oslo, Norway-based contemporary creative jazz-pop quartet Pixel had been founded this year 2010 by bassist/vocalist Ellen Andrea Wang, who have began performing the two times bass at age group 17 after initial learning classical violin and piano. Qualified in the Norwegian Academy of Music, Wang combines her assured bass using an attractive indie pop-flavored performing design in Pixel, an organization also noteworthy because of its instrumentation of bass, trumpet, saxophone, and drums — missing a chordal device in a way like the traditional Ornette Coleman Quartet. The three additional people of Pixel — trumpeter Jonas Kilmork Vernøy, tenor and soprano saxophonist Harald Lassen, and drummer Jon Audun Baar — also researched in the Norwegian Academy of Music, and also have been involved with several jazz and rock and roll tasks. Pixel’s debut recording, Reminder, premiered in 2012 from the Cuneiform label, which also released the quartet’s sophomore recording, WE ALL HAVE BEEN Small Pixels, the next year.
