Being a working-class foursome from Allentown, Pa, Pissed Skinny jeans vent their frustrations through a bludgeoning, midtempo grunge punk audio centered on sexual unhappiness and factory-town hopelessness, all doused in much layer of sarcasm and apathy. On the sweltering August evening in 2003, the Gatecrashers had been driving between LA and SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA while rocking out to Globe Wrestling Federation: The Music, Vol. 2. Through the peak from the sweaty singalong they understood these were onto something particular and decided it might be fun to create a side task where they sang music in the vein from the Whittingtons’ “I’m Teen, Dumb and Filled with Cum,” the theory getting that everyone would swap equipment and create music for meatheads. Following the departure of drummer Tim, they recruited Sean McGuinness to dominate, and the music group authorized to iconic grunge label Sub Pop. In 2017, the music group returned using its 5th studio record, Why Love Today, supplying a typically acerbic opinion over the mundane components of everyday life.
