Pino Daniele

Created March 19, 1955, in Naples, singer/songwriter Pino Daniele was raised learning both classical and traditional Neapolitan acoustic guitar, though as an adolescent he became thinking about other varieties of music, particularly Uk and American rock and roll. His single debut, Terra Mia, sung in Neapolitan, was the 1st exemplory case of what Daniele known as “taramblù,” a combined mix of tarantella, rhumba, and blues. In 1979 his self-titled sophomore record premiered, accompanied by Nero a Met? in 1980, which same yr Daniele was asked to open up for reggae superstar Bob Marley for his display in Milan. Through the next couple of years the designer continued discovering his numerous Mediterranean, African, and Traditional western inspirations — within albums like Common Surface, a cooperation with American folksinger Richie Havens, and the center Eastern-influenced Bonne Soirée — aswell as composing soundtracks for movies by Massimo Troisi. In 1989 Daniele had taken a stage toward greater industrial success using the release from the pop record Mascalzone Latino, accompanied by another deluge of albums, including 1991’s El Uomo in Blues, 1993’s Che Dio Ti Benedica (which acquired two tracks made by Chick Corea), 1995’s Non Calpestare I Fiori Nel Deserto, 1997’s Dimmi Cosa Succede Sulla Terra, and 2000’s Medina. 2 yrs later the vocalist teamed up with fellow Italian superstars Francesco De Gregori, Ron, and Fiorella Mannoia for the tour, captured over the properly entitled In Tour. In 2005 he released Iguana Café, another studio room record. Pino Daniele passed away of a coronary attack in Rome in January 2015; he was 59 years of age.
