Pin Me Down

Bloc Party’s Russell Lissack teamed up with American vocalist Milena Mepris in 2004 to create Pin Me Straight down, a needling, gutsy, dancefloor-friendly indie rock and roll task that nodded to functions like Ladyhawke, Bella, the Long Blondes, and (unsurprisingly) Bloc Party. The duo produced its name from a text Lissack delivered to Mepris in the first times of their cooperation. Mepris was looking to get ahold of Lissack, who at that time was on the point of play a gig with Bloc Party; he wasn’t in a position to solution his phone, therefore he delivered her a note saying, “Pin me down at 7.” The duo’s debut solitary, “Cryptic,” premiered on Kitsune Maison 5 Golden Release in early 2008.
