This Dutch rock quartet was formed in 1979 by Ronald van Prooijen (lead vocals) and Jan Bechtum (guitar). By adding bass participant Rinus Vreugdenhil and drummer Laurens ‘Bakkie’ Bakker, they modelled themselves on Uk rings, most noticeably Uriah Heep, Deep Crimson and Motörhead. They experienced numerous line-up adjustments throughout their seven-year, seven-album profession, but produced regularly high-quality materials throughout. Vocalists included Shmoulik Avigal (b. Israel), Pete Lovell (b. Britain), and Bert Heering (ex-Vandenberg), while Chriz truck Jaarsveld, Henri truck Maanen and Rob truck Enhuizen were in charge of six-string duties at once or another. The music group folded in 1987, however the first quartet performed a one-off reunion concert in Sliedrecht the next season. Bechtum revived Picture within the middle-90s with Tag Maas (drums), Jos Adema (bass) and Michel Zandbergen (vocals), however the failing to protected a recording agreement resulted in this line-up’s disbandment in 1999.
