Piano Slim

b. Robert T. Smith, 1 August 1928, La Grange, Tx, USA. Slim started performing and playing saxophone in night clubs in the past due 40s, but after getting shot in the upper body he turned to drums, playing behind Lightnin’ Hopkins to get a spell. He became a pianist whenever using a music group in Odessa, Tx, and on shifting back again to Houston, Henry Hayes trained him about music; he also promises to have documented around this period. Don Robey suggested Slim to Bobbin Information in St. Louis, plus they released an individual by him in the past due 50s. He continues to be located in St. Louis, and provides played in many bars and night clubs. In 1981, he documented his first record, mainly solo, although with guitarist Amos Sandford on some game titles, then 2 yrs later he produced an album using a music group that included two horns.
