b. Adam Wheeler, 14 Sept 1933, Montevallo, Alabama, USA. By time a cab drivers, in the evenings Adam Wheeler transforms himself into Chicago boogie-woogie star, Piano C. Crimson. His initial yearnings to be engaged in music had been motivated by his mom, who sang religious songs throughout the house. He was tutored by an area piano player referred to as Fats Lilly, who was simply initially hesitant until Wheeler bribed him with moonshine whiskey. Wheeler transferred to Chicago in 1956. He started his recording profession with Chess Information in 1963, documenting variations of “DECELERATE And Great It” and “100 And Two”. He also distributed a stage with lots of the blues greats of that time period, including Elmore Adam, Muddy Waters and Memphis Slim. Nevertheless, like a lot of his ilk, he hardly ever enjoyed usage of a full-time documenting contract. With the 90s, when he finally begun to achieve a lot more than regional acclaim, he previously retired to executing only occasional pieces at chosen Chicago restaurants and cafés. Not surprisingly, he and his Level Foot Boogie Music group consistently play participating, Small Richard/Ray Charles-styled pop-blues well in to the early hours. Among his greatest compositions may be the autobiographical “Cab Drivin’ Guy”, that was also the name of his debut record.
