pHoaming Edison

The person behind pHoaming Edison is James Kavoussi, a musician/engineer who in addition has been a longtime person in the adventurous NEW YORK group Fly Ashtray. Kavoussi, guitarist/vocalist/bassist John Beekman, guitarist Chris Thomas, bassist/guitarist Mike Anzalone, and drummer Eric Thomas shaped Soar Ashtray at Fordham College or university within the Bronx, NY, through the past due ’80s. The group’s initial release, Nothing Still left to Spill, was an eclectic, post-punk compilation from the group’s early function. Kavoussi began launching albums beneath the pHoaming Edison nom de plume in 1995, using the LP Available to the best Grady (on Dark Dearest Cloud). The properly titled Available to the next Highest Grady, also on Dark Beloved Cloud, surfaced in 1996. The brand new millennium saw the discharge of pHoaming Edison’s most completely realized work, Happy Nap Gambling house. The album went the gamut from lo-fi to sound to psychedelia and highlighted a cover of “Theme From Gambling house Royale,” along with the George Harrison structure “Just a Northern Tune” (through the Yellow Submarine record).
