Phil Flowers

Throughout his career, Washington-area singer/composer Phil Flowers Sr. penned a huge selection of rock and roll, blues, gospel, and ballad music. His break emerged when his melody “Cry on My Make” marketed well over the East Coastline, resulting in a nationally televised appearance over the Dick Clark Present and a functionality at the Light Home in 1968 through the Johnson administration. Following the assassination of Rev. Martin Luther Ruler Jr. in 1968, Blooms and his group had been dispatched to sing in neighborhoods where riots acquired broken out to ease the strain. Blooms also afterwards performed on a single costs as Martha & the Vandellas, and toured along with his kids and siblings (who provided backup vocals).
