Phil Angotti

A longtime fixture from the Chicago power-pop community, singer/guitarist Phil Angotti tenured with acts like the Fleas as well as the Scuffle before joining with singer Jay Goeppner in 1987 to create the long-running Beatle Brothers. (He also offered with Graham and Brad Elvis within the like-minded Not really the Beatles.) In 1991 Angotti shaped his personal group, the theory, a year later on releasing their debut LP Sideways Smile for the Lisabet label. It got Angotti five years to concern the Idea’s sophomore work, the THE HOUSE label launch Afternoon Balloon; Bloom Bomb followed for the Jam label in 2001, and in 2003 the group came back with G. Elvis CONTINUES TO BE Alive.
