PH Phactor

An organization who confusing components of jug music group, folk-rock, blues, and psychedelia, PH Phactor was based at numerous factors in both Portland, OR, and SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA. During their life time they recorded only one, “Minglewood Blues”/”Barefoot John,” released in 1967 around the Piccadilly label. The A-side, an upgrade of the blues song from your 1920s, was one of the better of the fairly few jug music group/blues/folk-rock combinations to become released in the 1960s, as the B-side was natural, bluesy folk-rock. A whole album of materials recorded from the music group, Merryjuana, premiered in 1980 on Piccadilly. This LP (right now very difficult to discover) showed even more range compared to the single experienced, with excursions into good-time jug music group music, Nation Joe & the Fish-like psychedelia, and blues-rock.
