Peter Parker

Formed in the summertime of 1997, Seattle’s Peter Parker was another in an extended line of recognized teams whose members used their strap name as their surname. Peter Parker’s preliminary lineup gelled when university buddies Matthew and Jason Parker started collaborating on acoustic guitar and bass (respectively); they discovered drummer Steve Parker by putting a classified advertisement in an area magazine, as well as the trio started playing their first cellar shows. That winter season, Jason remaining the music group to pursue additional passions. Enter Mona Parker, the brand new bass player who was simply also discovered via the categorized ads. Only fourteen days after Mona became a member of the music group, Peter Parker performed their first display at Seattle’s auspicious Crocodile Café. Like a trio who, admittedly, didn’t actually learn how to play their devices, 1998 was peppered with “dozens upon a large number of terrible concert events,” which became valuable encounters for the youthful band. Nevertheless, 1998 ended with an up notice for the group because they documented their 1st LP, Migliore!, in maker John Goodmanson’s Seattle studio room, and performed the CMJ SONGS Festival in NEW YORK. In August of the next season, Magic Palace information released Migliore! to advantageous reviews, while university radio found the record and went with it.
