Peter Nelson & the Tourists were a London-based quintet whose associates included, at onetime, Vic Briggs, afterwards of Eric Burdon & the Pets, and Mitch Mitchell, afterwards of Jimi Hendrix Knowledge. They advanced into Peter’s Encounters, a quartet with a far more pop-oriented sound.
