Peter Keane

Peter Keane produced a name for himself in the competitive Boston folk and blues coffeehouse picture within the 1980s and began his saving profession in 1992. Keane’s produces consist of 1992’s The Goodnight Blues and Walkin’ Around, a 1996 Traveling Fish Records discharge made by his modern, Boston-based vocalist/songwriter and bluesman Costs Morrissey. His last two albums, A different type of Blue in 2000 and Milton Road in 2002, had been released with the Portsmouth, N.H.-structured Damaged White Records. No slouch being a vocalist/songwriter, Keane penned first songs within the folk-blues vein and broke brand-new musical surface on both albums. He’s associated with Charlie Larkey on bass and Richard Light on drums on both Milton Road and A different type of Blue, the last mentioned which also features pedal metal participant and guitarist David Hamburger. Keane tackles folk-blues chestnuts on both albums, including music like “Candyman,” “I Desire I USED TO BE in Heaven SEATED,” “Move ‘Em Pete,” “Weekend Road,” “Glory Property,” and “Fool’s Heaven.” Keane was a highlighted performer on the 2000 Newport Folk Festival. By 2009, he previously relocated to Austin, TX, where he was functioning being a librarian on the School of Tx at Austin. His executing and touring profession could be on the trunk burner, save for regional gigs around Austin.
