Pete McCann

b. Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA. A talented guitarist in the Midwest, McCann examined with Jack port Peterson on the School of North Tx, from where he accomplished his level cum laude. He also trained there and made an appearance on many albums with the school’s acclaimed One O’Time clock Lab Music group (Laboratory ’87, Laboratory ’88 andLab ’89). In 1988, McCann examined with Dave Holland and Kevin Eubanks while participating in the Banff Summer months Jazz Workshop in Canada. After graduation, he resolved in NY where he produced his own groupings, usually the quartet or trio, and in addition caused Maria Schneider’s big music group, Bobby Watson’s Electric powered Music group and with Jack port Walrath AS WELL AS THE Experts Of Suspense. Among a great many other music artists with whom McCann provides performed and occasionally documented are Randy Brecker, Jon Faddis, the Fast Down Septet, Danny Gottlieb, Pat LaBarbera, Dave Liebman, Adam Moody, Adam Nussbaum, Pete Petersen, Bobby Previte, oboist Emmanuelle Somer, Ed Thigpen, saxophonist Erwin Vann and Kenny Wheeler. Built with virtuoso abilities, McCann has regularly shown an affinity with modern jazz tendencies. While his previous playing shown some proof other guitar affects, Pat Metheny and John Scofield for instance, his constant looking for personal appearance through his playing and composing, made certain that by the end of the hundred years he was a drive to become reckoned with.
